It's a hard thing to have a family that doesn't believe the same things as you do. When almost all I think about is my faith, they have nothing to rely on. Last night, my grandpa turned on the TV, and the Lakeland revival was on. We started watching it, (because I got so excited, he didn't dare change the channel) and when I was really getting into it (worship and all) He asked me what the speaker was trying to get the people to do; what they were doing wrong, and what his main goal was. The question took me by surprise! My grandpa is a retired preacher. Apparently he's never known what it is like to just press into God. The people on the screen were worshiping, and crying, and altogether not looking very happy. He asked me what it was they were waiting for, and why they seemed to look so sad/angry. I told him about how it's a relationship, and how Jesus longs to get to know us, and spend time with us, just like we want to spend time with friends. He just sorta grunted, but I know that God was moving; His presence was all over the room while I was praying, and speaking in tongues quietly to myself, because He doesn't understand things like that, and does a pretty good job of criticizing people who do things like that.
Lord, give me discernment in what to do here. I don't want to push anything, or seem like an overly religious kid. But I want to show them how different it can be, how much they're missing. I want them to be with me, with You.
Thank you for loving me through all this, when I don't feel as closely cuddled with you as I'd like; I know there's a time for that. Thank you that you will give me strength, and hope. Especially hope. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.
"The JOY of the Lord is my strength!"

Great stuff Izetta. discernment. great request. I was just thinking today about how I don't know how people can live their whole lives without something to live for. Monotony. Boring. No goal. What's the point? God gives us something to live for and not only that but love us continually. What a great God. He is moving in you so much. I am really excited.
